We are a husband and wife team who share a love of good food and drink and hurtling down snowy mountainsides in sub-zero temperatures. After one too many average winter holidays with big name companies we thought we could do a better job. So, ignoring all (sensible?) advice we gave up safe, comfortable jobs in the financial services industry and started running a chalet business instead.
We’ve always had our winter holidays in the French Alps and we want to provide what we’ve always looked for; the perfect ski holiday. We know that apart from the snow it’s the friendly service, "can do" attitude, excellent food, plentiful wine and great après ski that make the best ski and snowboarding holidays. We want to go the extra mile for you so you can go the extra mile, whether that’s on the slopes or on a marathon bar crawl!
Heather is the Francophile of the two of us, having studied French at university and spent a year living in Lyon. A born perfectionist, it’s her attention to detail that will make all the difference to your holiday. If you find yourself waiting an extra minute or two for your crème brulée, that will be Heather making sure everyone’s has an equally satisfying caramel crunch.
Andy is a fun loving foodie, with a brain full of useful local information (and useless trivia). Equally calm in a hot kitchen, behind the wheel of the minibus or up to his neck in powder he’s always happy to help.
Benny the greyhound is Alpine Ethos’s unofficial mascot, who splits his time between our apartment and the local bar. He hasn’t quite worked out what to make of being taken to live on a cold mountain but seems to like the snow so far.
