Chalet Ballenberg is our full service catered chalet offering guests the opportunity to be truly pampered for a week by dedicated chalet hosts.
This traditional and charming chalet has been lovingly restored to a fine example of what the Meribel valley has to offer. With its kit store with heated boot rack, en-suite facilities, inviting hot tub and secluded terrace plus the option to ski to door (snow conditions permitting); it is the perfect place to spend a relaxing week.
Situated in a quiet corner of the Meribel valley in the idyllic hamlet
of Chandon, the location of this chalet is quite special offering unrivalled
skiing during the day and panoramic views of Saulire Mountain from the
hot tub by night. Plus at only 6 mins away from the centre of Meribel
Chalet Ballenberg is still close enough to the action for those that
like to party into the small hours.
The
chalet offers wonderfully comfortable accommodation for up to 14 people
across 6 bedrooms. There is a spacious open plan living and dining area
with a huge open fire and French doors that open onto a fantastic balcony
and terrace. Plus the chalet is equipped with all your creature comforts
- a large flatscreen TV with sky channels, a DVD player, Nintendo Wii,
IPOD speakers and a large selection of DVD's, books and games.
The chalet is linked to the centre of the resort by our hosts who offer a shuttle service to and from the slopes/town during your stay in our private minibus. There is also the added option of the regular free resort shuttle bus that stops within 100m of the chalet and for those who are keen it is possible to ski back to the chalet, (snow conditions permitting). You really are spoilt for choice with access to the chalet and resort. Being only 6 minutes from the chalet door to the slopes, shops and bars in Le Chaudanne (Meribel centre), Chalet Ballenberg offers easy access to all Meribel has to offer whilst being situated in an authentic and peaceful French hamlet.
Chalet Ballenberg bedrooms
Margaux
This room is situated on the first floor and is the largest room in the chalet. It comprises four single beds organised as two twin beds next to each other and bunk beds. There is a great view over the Saulire Mountain which is lit up at night. There is an en suite bathroom with full bath, shower attachment and sink plus the room has a separate ensuite WC. This room is suitable for families or groups of friends.
Sancerre
This room is situated on the first floor and has a romantic alpine feel with its dark wooden bed and matching furniture. It has a double bed with en suite shower, sink and WC. This room is suitable for couples (or single travellers).
Dom Perignon
This room is situated on the first floor and has 2 single beds and traditional Alpine furniture. The room has its own en suite WC and sink facilities. The shower room is located just outside the room and is shared with room Cheval Blanc. This room is suitable for everyone including couples.
Cheval Blanc
This room is situated on the first floor and has 2 single beds. It also overlooks the Saulire Mountain. The room has its own en suite WC and sink facilities. The shower room is located just outside the room and is shared with room Dom Perignon. This room is suitable for everyone including couples.
Hermitage
This room is situated on the second floor. It has a lovely antique double bed and hand crafted pine furniture. It also has an en suite bathroom with full bath, shower attachment, sink and toilet facilities. This room is suitable for couples (or single travellers).
Moet
This room is situated on the third floor and has a double bed with en suite shower, sink and WC. The room has private access to a balcony overlooking the neighbouring mountains. This room is suitable for couples (or single travellers).
