Chalet Cook/Host

As a chalet cook/host you will work in our smallest 8 guest chalet. You will run the chalet yourself and be responsible for the cooking, cleaning and hosting. You will be passionate about food, with relevant experience gained in either a chalet, restaurant, villa or yacht setting. We pride ourselves on providing excellent quality catering in our chalets and you would be able to create interesting and delicious breakfasts, cakes and dinners 5 days a week. You will also be responsible for the chalet cleaning, not just the kitchen but also communal areas, bedrooms and bathrooms as well as the weekly changeover of the chalet. 

Main responsibilities include:

  • Preparing continental and cooked breakfast on 5 mornings

  • Baking afternoon tea cakes 

  • Preparing 3 course dinner on 5 nights

  • Laying the table and clearing away

  • Daily cleaning of the chalet

  • Weekly changeover of the chalet

  • Hosting our guests and making them feel welcome

  • Weekly shopping trip

Experience/Skills Required:

  • Excellent cooking and customer service skills 

  • Proven experience cooking in either chalets, restaurants, villas or yachts or similar

  • Passionate about food and a keen interest in creating varied and delicious menus

  • Good eye for detail and ability to present food in an attractive manner

  • Organised and able to work tidily

  • Hard working and adaptable

  • Ability to work independently

  • Mature attitude

  • Friendly and outgoing

  • A mountain lover
