Chalet Host

As a chalet host you will work in one of our beautiful chalets alongside a chalet chef. You will be passionate about friendly customer service, with relevant experience gained in either a chalet, restaurant, cafe, bar, villa, yacht or similar setting. We pride ourselves on providing excellent, friendly and personable service in our chalets and you would be able to create a welcoming environment for our guests. You will also help with serving breakfasts, laying out afternoon tea and serving dinners 5 days a week. You will be primarily responsible the chalet cleaning, including bedrooms, bathrooms and communal areas, as well as the weekly changeover of the chalet. We work as a team in the chalets and share responsibilities in order to provide the best service for our guests.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Laying the table and serving breakfast and dinner 5 days a week

  • Laying out afternoon tea 5 days

  • Preparing continental breakfast for staff days off

  • Daily cleaning of the chalet

  • Weekly changeover of the chalet

  • Hosting our guests and making them feel welcome

  • Assisting in the kitchen with washing up, food preparation etc

  • Weekly shopping trip

Experience/Skills Required:

  • Excellent people skills 

  • Proven experience of customer service ideally in chalets, restaurants, bars, cafes villas, yachts or similar

  • Experience of housekeeping/cleaning

  • Good eye for detail and ability to present the chalet well

  • Organised and able to work efficiently

  • Hard working and adaptable

  • Mature attitude

  • Team player

  • Friendly and outgoing

  • A mountain lover

Due to French employment regulations and Brexit we are currently accepting applications from people with either an EU passport, dual nationality with an EU passport, UK nationals with a valid French residency permit (or ongoing application). Exceptional applicants with a UK passport may apply subject to approval for a French work permit and a French tourism seasonal visa application.
