We have been very busy in Meribel over the last month, read on to see what we have been up to!
The staff arrived on 5 December and had a solid 10 days of training to prepare them for the season, honing their cooking and cleaning skills, getting to know the resort, and a few ski lessons thrown in too. Training is always one of my favourite times of the year, seeing the eager faces of the staff excited for the season to come. The 2018/19 Alpine Ethos team are wonderful, and I am sure they will have a very successful season!
We have had almost three full weeks of guests in our chalets, and they have been a delight to look after. Christmas and new Year is a busy time in the chalets, but having such lovely guests makes the festive period so enjoyable for the staff. The first few reviews are in and it is safe to say our guests have had fantastic holidays with Alpine Ethos!
Fabulous week. Wonderful hosts, Ellie and Luke made us feel at home, nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious, cooked and served beautifully. The chalet was perfect, lovely decor and spotless. Thank you"
Absolutely wonderful week over Christmas. Our hosts Ellie and Luke could not have been better. Great food and hospitality as well as good company. Loved the chalet, especially the hot tub!"
"Should really keep this a secret! If you knew what it was like you'd all want to go. So, in brief, our group of 13 enjoyed a great week in a comfortable chalet with excellent service and support from Jill (boss lady) and our hosts Dan and Marie. Considering we were the first guests this season there were no teething problems. Relaxing in the sauna AND hot-tub after a days skiing was a definite bonus. We mustn't forget Silas who was available to transport us
to/from the lifts as required."
Had an accident and took my car off first day whilst staying at st. Joseph's and we've got nothing but the massive thanks and praise to Danny and Marie to make sure I was comfortable beautifully clean the food was great would definitely recommend it and I like to say a big thank you!"
Having just returned from a week in Chalet Les Cabris, I already wish I was still there! The chalet is so cozy but yet spacious with beautiful views from each room. The outdoor hot tub under the stairs at night was just so lovely. The free shuttle bus to and from the villages was great. Les Allues is a nice quiet village to escape to. Our cook for the week was JP who is a brilliant chef who cooked us everything from traditional breakfast to Thai green curries. Every meal was delicious and we especially enjoyed his daily afternoon treats! The only recommendation I would give would be for there to be stair gates and a fire guard for clients with young babies. We travelled with our 16 month old so both guards would have helped greatly. Overall it was a great week and we definitely will be back."
"Excellent in every way
The chalet was superb itself however our hosts made our trip to the Alps. Ellie and Luke catered to all our needs throughout the trip. They even cooked a different dinner option for one of our members on multiple occasions. the rooms were always clean and tidy. An easy 5 stars and highly recommend."
The pistes are in great condition at the moment, and with a run of sunny days to come the next week should be beautiful for cruising the pistes and enjoying the views.
We still have some availability for next week in a couple of our chalets so get in touch if you fancy a post-Christmas ski trip to burn off all those extra calories.
