Courchevel La Tania

 

Why La Tania?



La Tania is a little hidden gem set amongst pine trees midway between Méribel and Courchevel. Originally built as an accommodation base for the 1992 Albertville Winter Olympics, La Tania has grown into a self contained resort yet retained it’s village atmosphere with a real community feel. Both of our La Tania chalets are set in quiet, elevated positions amongst pines overlooking the village.

It’s a great resort for families with a quiet, traffic-free village centre with play park and a free drag lift for beginners. There are several ski schools, crèche and nanny services.

And for grownups there’s no need to leave the resort as there’s plenty of nightlife with live music in at least one of the 5 bars, après ski Happy Hours, 8 restaurants ranging from takeaways to Michelin starred and 4 mountain restaurants set on the slopes above the village and easily reached by gondola - the Bouc Blanc is a must!

 

Skiing

 

You’re only 2 lifts away from Méribel or Courchevel 1850 with easy access to the entire 3 Valleys - the largest interlinked ski area in the world. There are 3 runs down to the village -

green - Plan Fontaine run winds through the forest from the top gondola station passing the back garden gate of Chalet Beriozka - you can use this run to ski from the chalet right down to the lift in the village

blue - Folyères run takes a different route through the pines from the top gondola station

red - Moretta Blanche run down to the bottom gondola station

All runs have snow canons and the fact that the La Tania slopes face north and are shaded by trees helps keep the runs snow secure and open all season.

Pre-book your ski passes and they’ll be waiting in your chalet when you arrive. We can arrange hire of skis, boards and boots which will be delivered and fitted in your chalet.

 

Other Activities

 

There’s loads to do - snow shoe walks, skidoo rides, dog sledding, horse riding, paragliding, indoor climbing, ice skating, ten pin bowling etc,etc.

New in 2016, the fantastic Aquamotion Centre, between Courchevel 1500 and 1650, has indoor and outdoor pools, diving boards, aqua bikes, sauna, hamman, spa, surfing wave etc.

And if you want more, the free ski bus runs via La Praz, Courchevel 1550, Aquamotion, 1659 and, finally, 1850.
